When the world decided to blend in, we decided to stand out! The world rested its laurels after having created many net communications products like ICQ, Yahoo, GTalk and Messenger.We went a step further and created Mundu. A cutting edge messenger, that was truly way ahead of its time, Mundu eliminated the need to have multiple ids and helped one to easily and effectively keep in touch with people across all other messaging systems. And, that was the foundation of a company called Geodesic. Sooner than later, other products got added to the Mundu suite. We starting making a significant change in the way people communicated with each other across the world. For instance, MunduSMS was the cost-effective means to send local and international text messages, Mundu Radio brought the millions of radio stations and music genres on to your mobile phone. And just when everyone thought we had done pretty much everything, we pull another rabbit out of the hat - Mundu TV, Live TV now playing on a computer and mobile phone near you! When it came to innovation, we had indeed set the ball in motion. We went on to create lightweight telephony; a technology that no one had even thought could exist - we made international calls local with Spokn. While other products touched a few lives, with GeoAmida, we empowered millions of Indians residing in the furthest corners of the country. This smart-card enabled device, made banking, telemedicine, healthcare and public distribution system simpler, affordable and accessible. If that wasn't enough, we created simple computing which could be made available for mass consumption, way before the agenda world over changed to - 'a computer for every child'. We called it Simputer. It's been 11 years; and with 14 offices and 700 people, we are only getting warmed up. The world of opportunity is opening up with many more possibilities, and we will be ahead of them, innovating and creating products that make life simpler. |
